At the presentation of the poetry collection ‘Madness of War’, the first copy was received by Mrs. Joanna Roper, the ambassador of the United Kingdom in the Netherlands.
Inspired by the paintings of the Airborne Collection, Mieke Mintjes wrote the poetry collection ‘Madness of War’. Each poem weaves an intimate story around one of the thirty paintings, with the author’s words bringing the colours and emotions of the artworks to life.
